Writing Music

Well as the holidays are coming to the end i have just had a good idea that i could have done.

I'm going to write what i play in the band in notation to the best i can so probably wrong in every sense.
I've always liked the way music looks when written and looks like your "properly professional" (thats how gangsta i am) so i thought i will spend probably hours of my life trying to do it.
This will also help me with reading music properly because after all I play is kept in my head, so having it written down would be a good thing.

It would also be fun to see what i actually play, because when ever i look at music it just makes me WTF.

So when i've finished one of my simpler songs may i ask music readers preferably Emerson or Matthew or Annie since you can play piano to proofread it for me.

Cheers but it is likely to fail immensely

  1. I call dibs. I have an idea of how I can test what you think of compared to what you write.

  3. And Emerson i know it will be wrong because my knowledge is pretty much that i understand F A C E and E G B D F

And when it comes to Sharps and flats i dont know what to do so your going to have a surprise when trying to read it

  4. are you saying that if i asked you to play an f# on the keyboard, you would look at me and go "which one is that?"

  5. No I can play an f# Brandon what kind of keyboard player would I be if I couldn't play a f# considering one of our songs has probably over 50% f#s. Now I probably couldn't write the correct f# on the treble thingo but I can definetly play one.
